Undergraduate:
Students of the Faculty of Social Sciences can take Statistics as a single
major or in conjunction with studies in Economics, Sociology, Psychology or
other Social Sciences. Students of the Faculty of Science can take Statistics
in conjunction with Mathematics and/or Computer Science. First and second year
studies include required courses in introductory statistics and probability,
statistical theory, supplementary mathematics, computing and regression theory.
Third year studies include a statistical laboratory, required courses in
statistical models, an independent research project in applied or theoretical
statistics.
· Graduate: The M.A. or M.Sc. program can be undertaken in one of five tracks: Applied Statistics, Theoretical Statistical, Biostatistics, Operations Research and Official Statistics. Joint programs with other departments of the Faculty of Social Sciences are possible. A thesis is required for the M.Sc. and for the research option of the M.A. degree.
· Ph.D: The Ph.D. program is primarily thesis-based.
